Hi there! My name is Miranda. I am an experienced online ESL teacher from the state of Indiana in the United States. I love talking about my two cats, Kosmo and Ambrose! About My Classes
My approach is to make learning a fun and engaging process. Classes involve a lot of participation and conversation among teacher and student. I believe learning is an opportunity to make mistakes and gain confidence! Mistakes are a part of learning! A curriculum is used, but I also like expanding on the lesson by asking the student questions and building a relationship to create the most beneficial learning experience.
By taking these classes, students can become excellent speakers, self-assured world travelers, and better prepared for the future.
25-minute Curriculum-Based Classes are offered through the platform Koala-Go to students aged 6 - 12. Classes are 1-on-1 and completely online. Students are able to use a computer, tablet, or smartphone for class. A progress report will also be sent each week.
1-on-1 Conversational Classes are also offered at a discounted price.
Curriculum
The curriculum used will be CrystalClearESL. More information and sample lessons can be previewed here.
With this curriculum, students will be able to learn new vocabulary, practice pronunciation, reading, grammar, as well as listening and conversation.
The curriculum offers a variety of interactive exercises to expand a student’s vocabulary and grow their confidence in a fun environment.
From time-to-time, supplementary material may also be used to meet the needs of students.
